      The "hero" of this book (and I use that term broadly) seems to me to be the classic picture of an abusive jerk. Yet somehow, the heroine falls in love with him - despite the fact that the first time they meet he leads by calling her a "stupid bitch", and every interaction after that seems to lead to him threatening her with physical violence or even rape. Who wants to be kissed "punishingly"? Then we have her repeatedly slapping him, telling him she hates him, etc. A match made in heaven? I thin [...]
