3.5 stars! This was a fun, entertaining and captivating read about Hank Merrow, the town sheriff that’s a werewolf and all around good guy. He agrees to an arranged marriage to a longtime rival werewolf pack.Ivy Kincaid looks like a bad girl but is a sweet person that has a terrible dad. She’s a werewolf as well that's forced to marry Hank because her father is holding power over her and threatening someone close to her that she loves.Of course, this is an instalove book so I’m guessing tha [...]

**I was lucky enough to receive and ARC of this book from the author**As followers of my reviews will know I am a HUGE Kristen Painter fan BUT they will also know I am not such a fan of shifter/ wolf books so when I heard that book 2 was going to focus on those characters I was a little worried that I wouldn't like it as much.My fears were unfounded. All I can say it I WANT TO LIVE IN NOCTURNE FALLS!! Seriously, pack my bags and let's go! The town is amazing, (seriously who wouldn't want Hallowe [...]

    • Lexxi Kitty says:

Hank Merrow is the eldest of the current alpha of the Georgia pack - as such he knows/knew that he might very easily find himself in some kind of arranged marriage situation due to various reasons, mainly related to werewolf politics. Knowing this, he has spent his life avoiding relationships, working in the military (Army Ranger), and is currently the Sheriff of Nocturne Falls.Ivy Kincaid is a daughter of the current alpha of the um . . . [insert state name here] pack. I read this book somethi [...]

    • Miranda Beazley says:

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.Hank is the werewolf sheriff of Nocturne Falls, the only city that's Halloween all year round. He is also the next in line for Alpha. Because of this he is required to marry a female from another pack to help secure a truce between the two packs. Ivy sneaks into Nocturne Falls to meet her new husband. And gets into a fight with a human and thrown into jail all in the space of a few hours in town.Ivy is a badass on the [...]

    • Quenya says:

I don’t know if reading the first book helped but with this one I was immediately drawn back into the Nocturne Falls world and glad to be there. I really like the flow of these books – yes they are predictable but the characters are lovable and consistent. Something that as a reader is very comforting. With this book, the characters of Hank and Ivy had me more invested in their story than with Hugh and Delaney from the first book. The story flowed very easily and the supporting characters fe [...]

    • Jessica (a GREAT read) says:

I received this early copy from the author in exchange for an honest review, I was in no way compensated for this review.I love Nocturne Falls! Seriously LOVE! I want to live there! I want to date a werewolf or vampire or shifter or gargoyle! I'm not picky! LOL! Kristen Painter returns to the quaint little town where it's Halloween all year round. But the tourists just think it's a gimmick. Not the boldly given truth! The Werewolf Meets His Match follows the Sheriff Hank Merrow and his soon to b [...]

    • So, I Read This Book Today says:

I first visited Nocturne Falls with the first book in the series, The Vampire’s Mail Order Bride. I didn’t know what to expect, but I found it in one of my email ‘freebie’ newsletters, and it sounded like fun, so what the heck?It was, in a word, a Blast. I loved the town of Nocturne Falls, where Halloween is 365-days-a-year. What better way for witches, weres, vamps and all the other supernaturals to live their lives without fear of notice by the norms? The books are $4.99 a piece, and wi [...]

This book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest ReviewThis Read is amazing! Kristen Blows us all away again in this second book in the series! I couldn't put it down for a second! sexy werewolf sheriff finally meets his match! Kristen couldn't have told it better! I loved Ivy Kincaid she was just the kind of wolf that the sheriff needed. what I love most about Kristens books is the danger, the intrigue, the mystery, and the amazing twists and turns that she loves to throw into [...]

    • Tiffany PSquared says:

Audiobook ReviewThis series is cute, light-hearted, and romantic. This sequel to The Vampire's Mail Order Bride is just as engaging as the first book and the characters are just as likable - even though they're werewolves and vampires (and gargoyles, and witches)! However, I didn't rate this one as high as the first book in the series because the ending seemed a little drawn out. And - I hope this is not a trend for the entire series - Painter has, for the second time, left some strings dangling [...]

    • Anna Prewitt says:

Hank and Ivy are what love is all about. Nocturne Falls is a place I would love to live. The easy read , the way it pulls you into the lives of the characters as they become real in hour mind. This book along with the Mail Order Bride have become my favorite and I can hardly wait to see what will becoming next. So if you want to read something that will make you smile, laugh or cry and then laugh again it is time to read The Werewolf Meets His Match or the Mail Order Bride. Love the way Kristen [...]

    • Deniz says:

Another fun instalment in a series, which is becoming fast one of my favorite cute & fluffy reads in 2015. Just like the first book, The Vampire's Mail Order Bride,  I read The Werewolf Meets His Match in one sitting. It's cute, fun, entertaining and captivating. This is set in the same town, Nocturne Falls. Which by the way is absolutely awesome. I love the idea of the towns history. Painter masterfully weaves reality and fantasy, which makes the town feel like a real place with a bit of [...]

    • Margaret says:

If it were a real place, I could just go to Nocturne Falls for the Zombie Prom. But since it’s not, I’m going to have to take some drastic action. I’m officially campaigning to make “Halloween in June” a thing. (You’ll all sign my petition, right?) We already have Christmas in July, so why not? I’m seriously in love with this town where it’s Halloween all year long, and with this series. The second book, The Werewolf Meets His Match, features the town sheriff Hank Merrow, who agr [...]

    • Myriam says:

This is the second Nocturne Falls story and it is just beautiful. The story revolves around two wolf shifter people stuck in a situation beyond their control, and making the best of it. What I liked best about this book is that both characters are strong, intelligent and reasonable, which is like a signature thing for Kristin Painter. The plot is very interesting, very surprising in some places, and it is a real plot and not a story based on bad choices, which is also a common characteristic of [...]

*I was provided an ARC by the publisher/author for an honest review.*First, I have to say that I am a huge Kristen Painter fan. I was hooked into her House of Comarré series through a Kindle daily deal, and since I have eagerly anticipated each book released. If you have not yet read the first book in her new Nocturne Falls series, "The Vampire's Mail Order Bride," treat yourself to reading it first so that you can savor each great story in this new series.Upon finishing The Vampire's Mail Orde [...]

this book has me singing salt ’n’ pepa:what a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man. he's a mighty mighty good man! what a man, what a man, what a man, yes, this story of ivy and hank is really sappy, romantic, exciting, with a hero that is almost too much (of everything)but it really hit the spot after recently re-reading wuthering heights !!!

    • Beth says:

I am a sucker for the surreal & unlikely phenomenon of a whole town pitching in assist a newcomer. Another cute addition to the series will be probably reading the other 9? I really want to witness "a drive by flaming".

    • Heidi says:

I received an ARC from the Author/Publisher in exchange for an honest review of this book. In book 2 in the Nocturne Falls series, Kristen has again surpassed my expectations. While much lighter in spirit than her House of Comarré series, she navigates the world of the supernatural with well supernatural skills. With the ease she brings you into the world of the supernatural, I think she just might be one masquerading as a human. Book 2 focuses on hunky Hank Merrow the Sheriff of Nocturne Falls [...]

*I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.*Welcome back to Nocturne Falls! Sometimes the second book in a series doesn't have that same zing as the first. Not so with this one! I love this series so far. Hank Merrow is Nocturne Falls sheriff. He's also a werewolf. The next in line alpha of his pack to be exact. To pay a blood debt and avoid war with another pack, he has agreed to marry the alpha's daughter. She is everything he never expected.Ivy Kincaid has [...]

    • TJ says:

Totally light fun A truly unique take on the usually dark paranormal trope. Oh there is suspense and tension, it's just couched in humor and sweetness. I'm afraid I'm quickly becoming hooked on this series!

    • Gwen (The Gwendolyn Reading Method) says:

I don't care what Amanda thinks! Still think this series is cute if a little under-written

    • ✨ katharina ✨ (katisbooks) says:

I liked The Werewolf meets his match even better than the first book of this series ! Hank was a highlight in this and I loved his family and how they dealt with their new family members. Also I'm trash for shifters what can I say.Funny, quick and cute readI think I'm a fan of this series. Sometimes you just need a little ridiculous paranormal adult romance with somewhat insta love but I don't even care because it makes me happy ?!

    • Anna Aurora says:

      3,5/5 stars

    • Carrie Baumbach says:

We're back in Nocturne Falls again, this time focused on our favorite law man, Hank Merrow. To settle a pack debt, Hank has three days to get used to the fact that he'll be marrying Ivy Kincaid, the daughter of a rival pack. As a fan of shifter novels, I'm well aware of pack law (though it varies from author to author), and am all kinds of ok with seeing a character marry someone for the good of the pack as opposed to marrying for love. The idea sucks, ya, but more often than not, love eventuall [...]

      * I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. *I am completely and utterly in love with Nocturne Falls and all of the creatures, I mean characters that live there! The idea of it being Halloween all year round is so amazing! I love it and want to pack my bags and move right in! Author Kristen Painter whisks the readers straight into the town and keeps them there from start until finish. The reader never wants to leave - even after they have finished reading the book, they want to stay! [...]

    • Amanda says:

I really like this series, they are light, fun and addictive. It was a late night for me because I couldn't put the book down. Kristen writes interesting and lovable characters. My only complaint about this book is that it is so whirlwind, everything happens so fast, I want to savour it a bit more. I end up reading the book too quickly. But that's not really a true complaint. We didn't get to know Hank that well in book one but we certainly do this time and you'll see that he is such an awesome g [...]

I'd say this wasn't a bad read in the same sort of way that eating a Milky Way isn't a bad treat, it's enjoyable whilst it lasts, but it's not particularly filling and isn't going to ruin your appetite. In the end this was for the most part, a fun, lighthearted PNR written in an easy to read and fairly engaging style that is perfect for a trip to the beach or whiling away an afternoon. However like the Milky Way you shouldn't really expect to make an entire meal out of it.I also have to mention [...]

I receive an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. "Handsome Hank, the dream come true." Perfect sentence to describe this book. We return to Nocturne Falls where it is Halloween 24/7. A perfect place for supernaturals of all kinds to blend in and let the enchanted waters blur what is real with what is pretend. Hank and Ivy are going to have an arranged marriage, which is pretty common for opposing werewolf packs in order to keep the peace. Ivy has a few secrets that she has be [...]
