I haven't read any of Rosenfeld's other books or watched any of his television appearances, so this is my introduction to the author and doctor. The book is high on patient and doctor stories but low on the nitty gritty of medicine, going for general explanations rather than using any medical jargon. I am amazed and feel more than a bit special to be the first to comment on this book. This is non-fiction, written by Dr. Rosefeld about his life as a child and his years studying and then practicing as a Doctor. He tells stories about playing practical jokes on other Dr's in training and about patients he helped and some that he didn't. He is caring, open and honest. I learned a bit about heart health but I also learned that there is such a thing as a Dr. who cares and will not stop until they have figured out why a patient is feeling sick. I wish he was my Dr.

I found this book sort of annoying as it seemed he was bragging and name dropping. Ladies love me.
